Anyone know of the correct procedure to reset a port on the 3500 series switches? At the moment I am issuing a
"no" command for each port security item in the interface configuration, than a no shutdown, to bring them up.

We have been finding ourselves switching out alot of computers lately.

I was hoping there was a simplier procedure. I did read the docs, but I may have missed this one.

We run Port security becuase it forces our users to bring their laptops to us when they return from the field so we can update them. It has been a pain, but we see every laptop now.

I keep a text file for just this occasion....I also have a similiar one for implementing security...I like the
sh int status, I can quickly see which ports have been disabled, instead of viewing log.

Good Luck, Tom

You can also just clear out the mac for that interface and then do a no shut.
