I purchased a wireless Panasonic Network Camera (BL-C30A) and hooked it up. I have Comcast high speed, using their combination Linksys Cable Modem/Wireless router. Anyway, the camera works great locally and it is assigned to 192.168.0.14, so when I type that in the browser, it lets me login to the interface etc. However, I am trying to access it remotely with no luck. I have tried logging into the router to do the port forwarding, trying a variety of ports to forward to 192.168.0.14 so when I type in my IP address from externally, like 24.XX.XX.XX:8888 it will work, but it doesnt... is there a certain port or procedure I need to use? Can't gain external access to this darn thing - any help would be greatly appreciated because I couldn't find anything documented out there and reallly don't want to call tech support. Thanks much!

Hi

Pansonic Cameras we have worked with as far as I remember only needs 80 port to be directed to the router. Make sure that IPO Camera Gateway address is the address of your Router (Linksys in this case) and you forwarda Ip Camera adress 80 port to any of the port you desire on the Linksys and finally make sure that your Linksys router does not have any firewall restriction for the port that you are doing port forwarding.

Please check for details of your Router.

Best regards,

If you provide the exact model number of your Linksys router, we can help you locate the settings you need to check.

Also, were you able to get any kind of port forwarding to work for other applications, like Remote Desktop for example?
