i am trying to log into the switch to change some names with the DSA software that can be setup on the PC side. I know the IP that i want to log into, but it wants to know the port to connect to. Anyone know what the port number should allow me access to it?

It didn't work, where do i need to setup the port or make it listen in the audix side?

Check to make sure you are at least Version 9.

I assume you have everything set up in the IP-Interface and Network-Node IP screens. Make sure you have it set up in the IP-Services screen too.

What’s the newest version out there? and is it stable? No, i don't have v9 the system i inherited is v4.2 ya it stinks, also do i need to buy the upgrade or is it free?? Thanks for your info, your the only one that have every answered me about anything.

I think Version 11 is the newest, I have a couple on version 9.

I am afraid it would probably be pretty costly to upgrade to Version 11 unless your maintenance agreement has free upgrades (which they are phasing out). Since you are on 4.2 I doubt that is the case.

To be honest, the only reason we have upgraded is because we needed the new features for our call centers.

Happy to help. I think you will find there are a lot of helpful people in this forum.

Hello Candyman, I am new to the Avaya stuff, so I am not sure if this helps. I use the Avaya Site Administration Tool (ASA) and to connect to the switch, I use port 5023.

On the IP-services screen you define the port you want to use.

We normally use 5024 but 5111 or 5023 will also work.

Intuity Audix works with port 23.

I don't think V4.x even supports the clan, in which case
you cant get there that way, you would have to use the serial port on the switch or dial in to the inads port.

C-LAN SAT support is V9 and up.
R9.5 and up has even more functionality over IP.
If you don't know what it is set for,
log in once via the serial port, or dial up via the INADS port, and do a "display ip-services".
this will tell you what it is set up for, if it is at all..

Hope this helps,

Rob
