we had a lightning storm about a week ago, and it knocked my system out briefly. rebooted and the system was fine. just went and did status trunk 1, to see what was in there. still learning this system, don't know what it all means.

I have a definity/audix system if that makes a difference.

is this bad?

disconnected is indicating that the board is not getting the dialtone on that one trunk, this would cause a ring no ansewer at times after the first 6 trunks have calls, or a can't call out at times, if its a 2way type trunk.
Report the trunk 01/07 phone number to your local Telco. If you do a "display trunk-group 1" and page through sometimes the administrator will put the circiut numbers after the individual trunks, or go through your old phone bills to identify the trunk 01/07 number. If you are techie and knew where the d-mark was you could check it there with a headset or punch down a 42 block and test with a phone, if its a ground start type trunk you would need to have a wire wired to a ground and when you went off hook touch the ring side with the ground, or just tap the ground on each wire one at a time to test for dialtone.

Interesting. Did the "display trunk-group 1" and found the phone number assigned to the trunk thats listed as 'disconnected', I called that phone number, and it went right through with no problems, right into our attendant like it's supposed to.

Checked the status again, and it's still listed as disconnected.

I'm confused.

Try the following commands:

busy trunk 01/07

release trunk 07/07

If busy and release dose not do the trick. Do a "test port 01A1307" to see if you get any error codes. If so it could be cabling our you might have a bad switch analog or Audix port and need to change it out.

OK, tried to do 'busy trunk 01/07', apparently trunk is not one of my available options, only 1 option exists for the busyout cmd, mis.

Also tried to 'test port 01A1307', port is also not an available option for me, only thing I can test is firmware.

Any other thoughts? am I gonna have to call Avaya and have them do this?

I really appareciate the help guys.

Can you put a Butt set up on the Dmarc and pull dialtone for the circuit connected to 01A1307. If no Dialtone call the carrier. If dialtone call Avaya.

My gut says the circuit from the Telco is the issue here

Hope this helps

1a2 to ip I seen it all

Do you have a "cust" logon for the PBX? If so, use that login for the busy/release commands.

I had our provider out a couple days ago, he connect to the circuit and got a tone with no problem. Guess I'll have to call avaya.

And yes, i do have a 'cust' login for the system, thats the only login I am aware of. I'm guessing its not setup as a super user.

twizitid, The co trunk is probably reversed.find the x-connect for this trunk and reverse the tip/ring.

losfep,
I have no idea what that means. I'm new to phones, so I'm just learning as I go. Waiting on training for the system.
