Firstly im NOT a VB programmer, im into ASP and MS Access.

Im trying to find out how to get a popup message on a clients desktop.

The popup will be activated by a query on a access database.

Basically it looks at a date field in a table and if that date becomes more than 24 hours old, Date()+1... a message will popup on the desktops saying so.
Im stuck chaps maybe there is an off-the-shelf product that needs no real VB coding...

Any Ideas ? Dont ask, dont get

Many Thanks

Need more information. What environment are the users utilizing? Are they running an Access database on their desktop? Are they going to an ASP page? Are they not running the software on their desktop? Where is the Access database located?

Hi ..

WEBPAGE

LAN 1- Application Server/Network (Domaine x)
Intranet running on IIS 6,Windows 2003 R2 server. Web (Intranet)read and writes to MS Access via ASP/VBscript.

LAN 2- Logon on and Domain ControllerWindows 2003 Server running AD (Domian Y, Client PCs Windows XP Pro SP2, IE6

So desktops access web site (intranet) via IE6 nothing is running on the desktops. Its a very simple LAN.

There is a simple static route that hops from one LAN to another, as the application server sits on a different IP Scope but this should not be an issue ...

Hope this helps :)
