I have Exchange Server 5.5 and the Pop3 protocol is clicked on. However I can't get a pop3 client to get mail from any of the mailboxes. When I follow MS troubleshooting (Q161118) and use "telnet mailserver 110" I get in. When I type "user domain\myname\mymailbox" I get on OK+, but when I type "pass password" I get various messages such as "no such mail box on this server," "access is denied." There is such a mailbox and the password is correct.

Any ideas what the problem is?

Have you installed the service pack 3 or pack 4 for exchange server 5.5?

Yes, SP 4 is on. Exchange Server works fine in all respects but this one.

Did you mean you couldn't connect or couldn't authenticate to exchange? If the latter it's possible your email address differs from your username, in this case exchange will not authenticate you. For email address john@xyz.com NT domain username must be john. Hope that helps.
