I want to link a pop-up menu to a pdf document, but i cannot do this with the link and the file in hte rood directory. i'm new to fireworks so please be gentle....anybody suggest where i'm going wrong ?

Whenever I'm typing in links for my pop up menu in fireworks, I always type the entire link path, http:// and all. I inevitably run into problems when I try to make a document relative link.

I also store all of my fireworks HTML in a single directory separate from the other pages and then I just insert from the fireworks directory. This is probably why I always have problems with document relative links.

Yeah, just type the whole entire path ( and see if that works.

do you know how to make a page from a link from a pop up menu open in a new frame?

at the moment the pages open in the same frame as the menu!!

Any ideas?

I used to know how to do this, but now I don't remember. After being burned by frames too many times, I stopped using them years ago. I know you'll have to get into the HTML code itself.

I think you have to insert a &quot;Target&quot; tag inside the <A href...> tag. You would have something like <A TARGET = &quot;mainframe.html&quot; HREF = >. Sorry I can't be more specific, but I really don't remember much about how it works.
