Having a problem with the built-in popup menu behaviors (text-based). Initially they function as expected, but if I re-open the dialog box to edit or add menu items there will be dozens of duplicate entries for the menus and submenu items. I delete the superfluous entries, but next time I edit they have returned. Eventually the behavior stops functioning and I have to delete the script altogether and start over.

Any idea what's going on and how to fix it?

Much obliged for any ideas, it's making me crazy!!

I had the same problem once. The only thing that made it go away was reconstructing the entire menu from scratch. Deleting, as you have found, does not work.
It was a real pain, but it worked and the problem has not resurfaced since. Good Luck.
