How to create a pop-up window with account password field? It should appear after user clicks a link or button.

It's just like a XP password window we always see. But I don't know how to make it.

Thanks guys,
Lilian

"We" don't always see anything. I'm running Linux.

If you are talking about from PHP making a browser pop up the standard dialog box that you see in a site that requires authentication, please point your browser to:

since php is a server side lang. i dont think you'll have much luck with a popup window. you can open new windows, but im not aware of a way to govern its size and position. you can use php and http authentication together though, however i have never done this myself. see the documentation here:

what we see depends mainly on what we're looking for.

Sorry, but yes, a client side authentication window is what I meant. If you click on this: , and then click on the link "Administer CAPC Files", then a password window pops up. That's what I wanted and forgive me it's my first a few php pages.

Thanks so much,
Lilian
