I have a poor man tie systen connected between an sx2000 light and a ICP 3300 using an analog extension on one side and trunk ports on the other, and vice versa on the opposite.
The tie works well one way but in the reverse the trunk port busies out and stays busy.
A manual busy and a RTS is needed to reset the trunk port.

Wink Start or Immediate Start? From the description of the problem I'm guessing you're missing release supervision. Try using wink supervision.

Which side is not releasing, the 2K side or the 3300?

I believe he is saying he uses a ONS port to a LS/GS trunk. ONS ports do not give release supervision so you are going to get hangups. Sorry.

MIMB has a good point.
Which side has the problem?
If it is the 3300, is it an external ASU or embedded card?
Or, is it a per node ons/lsgs card?
Which model of 3300?

The 3300 software was built on 2000 software but obviously there are hardware differences!

You can't believe anything you read... unless of course it's this.

The unit is a ICP3300Mxe
The trunk ports are on a combo card on an external ASU2 unit on the 3300 side
The side that is locking up is the ICP3300 trunk port side.
When the analog extension on the 2000 light hangs up the trunk port on the 3300 stays busy.
If a call is made using the analog extension on the 3300 side to the 2000 the call hangs up fine.

Check the following option in the COS of the analog ports for both controllers.

Return Disconnect Tone When Far End Party Clear

Select "Yes" to return busy tone instead of dial tone when the far end hangs up. This option is commonly used for analog devices such as FAX machines to prevent them from remaining in an off-hook state after an incoming call is ended.

Are they the same on both systems?

The Return Disconnect Tone When Far End Party Clear setting on the ICP3300 is set to yes
What is the option should I look for on the Sx2000 light COS form .

I am so used to the 2K and 3300 being the same that I assumed the option would exist on the 2K, sorry.

Based on the symptoms, the 3300 is providing the disconnect tone to the 2K via the option mentioned above and the 2K is not providing the disconnect tone because it doesn't have the same COS option.

The SX200 has a System option called Last Party Clear Dial Tone for this.

For the life of me, I can't find the equivelent option on the 2K.
