Pool button on Partner 18D stays lit. Can't use.

Customer has a Partner ACS 6.0 and a T1. one of the two pool buttons on Ext. 12 (Partner 18D) stays lit, no dial tone, and can't be used. All other 18D sets work fine and don't have the lit pool button.
I tried a different phone set, same problem. Rebooted switch, no change. Used #314 from Ext. 10 to remove pool ext. assignment, it removed the second pool appearance but not the problem one (apparently the system thinks the 1st pool appearance is busy so it won't remove it). I used #207 to remove all the lines from pool 880, then again tried to remove the offending pool button, no joy. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
 
Are you sure that those two pool buttons are pool 880? Could be that they are other pools, without any lines assigned to them.
 
Positive both buttons are pool 880. Plus pool 880 has 16 lines assigned. Thanks.
 
Had same problem recently, did a #728 and cleared trouble.

40 years in the business and counting.
 
The problem cleared up after a second reboot. I have advised the customer of the #728 reset to try if the problem re-occurs. Thanks all!
