I have a customer that has an asterisk deployed with about 20 8020 spectralink (Polycom branded) wireless phones, iwas wondering if i could reuse them in an ip office installation with an AVPP server and if i had to do anything for them to work with an ip office (ie, firmware update etc... )

Thanks

I suppose that you are using the SIP or SRP licence option? Avaya uses license option 9. Not sure if you can burn the avay firmware to the phone or not.

I understand that if your APs can do WMM then you do not need the AVPP server but I have no experience with the setup.

If you re not using the avaya avpp server and the avaya firmware does this means they need the 3rd party ip endpoint license? woa that would be a pain in th a** !!
