David,
Your programming example was the only useful information anywhere on this subject. I am not quite there yet - I am a network admin, who usually only adds/moves/changes stations. However, our Nortel vendor's techs are baffled, too, and they have only dealt with conf. phones on analog lines.
We use Option 11c mini, so Nortel recommended we purchase Polycom Soundstation 2 Direct Connect for digital lines. When we connect an M3404 or M2616 phone to a digital extension, we get a dial tone. When we connect the Polycom Interface module to the wall jack and then our M2616 to the Interface module, we also still get a dial tone. However, once we plug in the power cord for the Interface module, the dial tone disappears. If we connect the Soundstation to the Interface module and press the Call button on the Soundstation, we do not get a dial tone but a low hissing sound, similar to water that is very far away, much lower than white noise.
I have tried to emulate your program on our M2616, pasted below. Do you see any problems? Any recommendations? The user guide says to program numerical key 3 as the conference key and numerical key 6 as the Transfer key. Does that mean keys 03 and 06, or 02 and 05?
