Trying to setup the video connection between a Polycom unit and the G3Si-R6 switch. What components do we need for this integration?

They usually use isdn2e so you will need a BRI card and ISDN2 lines other than that your good to go.

The first thing to check if you want to go through the switch is if isdn is turned on in your switch. If it is not is is a pay for option and the cost to turn it on will most likely be more than doing an upgrade.

They have ISDN turned on already.

So it will require the TN556C or TN2185? G3Si-R6. Cabling?

I have a R9 si with a TN566D that should do the trick. You don't have to run the video conferencing through the switch you can simply plug the Rj45 connections coming from the IMUX on the polycom directly into the ISDN2 NTE's.

What specs on the ISDN2-NTEs? 230/300?

Before we get ahead of ourselves, you do have ISDN PRI connections to your LD and/or local providers, right????????

Check the COR on the bottom left of page 1 there is a field

Hear System Music on Hold? y

is this field set to yes on the station that you are testing the music on?

TN556C or TN2185? Which board would be used for a G3r V9 connected to a Polycom PVS-14xx? We currently use the Polycom with 3 2-wire BRI lines from the Telco to the Polycom's mux. We would like to move this Polycom to connect via our G3r. Thanks.
