POLL: Use Outlook 2003 w Exchange 5.5?

How many users use Outlook 2003 with Exchnage 5.5 and what are your experiences?

We do, without any real problems. There are 2 or 3 patches you need apply to Exchange 5.5, before you start connecting Outlook 2003 clients.

Where did you get the patches? Can you provide the links? Also, are you running exchange 5.5 on NT os? Thanks in advance for more info!

The patches are on technet dot com. Just do a search for outlook 2003 and exchange 5.5 and you will get all the patches. You can also navigate from there to go to the ms exchange 5.5 site.

My setup is exchange 5.5 on W2K.

Thanx to all for the tips! We had a specific problem with OWA and Exchange 5.5 where OWA would not work at all, it was totally unresponsive until the inetinfo.exe process was ended and IIS service and

Svc was started up again (At first I was rebooting ES, not a good thing)
But after applying the hotfix (Qarticle #818709)all is working fine now!

Watch out for Cached Exchange Mode this can cause many wonderful errors over a slow connection (i.e. remote users)

Yes, I've been un-checking cached exchange mode. Is that why I had such a problem when trying to connect a user via modem??? I guess you just solved the mystery!
