Poll: One-X Portal - Love / Hate / Indifferent?

I think Im in the indifferent catagory, simply because i can see its merits, but also i feel its a bit of a hash up.

why couldnt they launch it as an app from a web interface? i think it being bound to the browser is totally naff!

I was told intertalk(?) lauched a phone manager app for their hosted IP cisco handset thats looks rather like Phone Manager which is web based app......

come one Avaya - catch up!!!

I'm trying to figure out the advantage to the one-x portal besides the obvious ease of administration and deployment.

The user experience is far better on PMP I'm trying to figure out how to even talk about the portal to customer. Why would they want it and what is different about it etc. I have played around with it and so far i see no reason to move to it other than making my life a little easier as i alos hate deploying PMP 20 times over lol...

Convince me.

No need to install clients
one server for all sites
web based so not restricted to windows clients
Administrated from everywhere in the network (also web based)

downside

expensive
bit too slow responce but that might be because it is running virtual right now !!!!

@djuplift, Phone Manager are windows based, and Remote Desktop users mostly don't see busy status in the speeddial list if the are on a remote site without a IPO.
