the customer says dial 9 first to make a phone call,but he sees on the display not allowed to make calls,please advice what should i do. Thank you.

The Polycom is getting internal dial tone and what Curlycord stated, the DN/Port (extension) does not have the capability to get an outside telephone line, via programming.

Under:
-> Terminals&Sets
-> type in the extension of polycom
-> Line Access
-> LinePool Access enable the proper pool that the set is capable of accessing for outbound dialing.

hey,guys thank you for your help,any way i fixed the problem by checking on the access codes and for some reason it was changed to dial 8 instead of 9. so i guess the PRI doesn't take the 800 #'s throught ATA adapters.I was told`` that when you dial out,they dial 9 first w/ regular phones so that means analog ports go out on cooper trunks,so they need different access code #.

The ATA will dial out the same as a digital set it just needs to be set up the same . Same line pool access in programming PRI Y then it can make the same calls too.

Easiest way to fix it if you're in doubt- pick a phone that works, and copy the line access from that one to your ATA.

Then double check your line assignment to make sure you've got the appropriate target line assigned. (if any.)
