Hey guys!! I amde some group policies for an Organizantional Unit, but they do not apply to Comps that are running NT4 or Win2000 Upgraded from NT4 comps. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how I could lock those suckers down. The main things I am trying to do is to restrict modification of the display/background settings, and only allow certain programs (i.e. msword, excel, etc.) to only run. Anyone have nay ideas?

Does this mean that it does not apply to any of the computers in your domain?? You have to provide a bit more detail! Including where the group policy was set i.e Site, Domain, OU, if the policy applies to any PC's which ones, are they in a particular OU etc

Ok well, actually this is the problem. I have Organizational Units setup on my Win2k server. And I have group policies assigned to each of those organizational units. Though when I log in as a user in one of those Organizational Units they do not inherit any of the restrictions (hidden IE, cannot view display properties, etc.) This used to just happen on WINNT 4 and upgraded comps, but now it happens company wide even on Win2k computers where it used to work on. I have only basic restrictions setup for the desktops of each user. I also have logon scripts, but the logon scripts still work since I did not make them part of the policies. The Organizational Units are set in the root of the domain in the Active Directory Tree. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Found out what it was, our PDC was not the primary DNS for all the computers. Just set the primary DNS to the PDC and then all was good.
