How can I get internal PC's typing to point to the internal address and not time out??

I am running a win 2000 SP4 domain with a DNS server.

Yes, you need to add an A record for host email and point it to the internal IP of the mail server.

Serbtastic is correct. Creating an A record in your DNS and point it to the internal IP will solve your problem.

Thanks for you assistance - Its a been a while since I have managed to look at this again.

Where do I create the 'A' record, and do I just call it email? or email.mydomain.co.uk ?

Kind Regards
