OK, I probably crossed the line that time.

How about:

A jitter of coffee
A pound of puppies
A heard (herd) of hearing aids
A whored (hoard) of prostitutes (Ugh)
A correction of inmates
A shredful of Ollie Norths (they're getting worse)
A ring of telephones

The cleverness of clutch is that it is already a collective term for eggs.

Jiggle, ogle, and bouncing are all descriptive but, I am sorry to say, totally lacking in the cleverness department.




I can't take credit for it, unfortunately. If you do a web search on that phrase, there's another funny one you'll find which I couldn't make myself post.
