Dear Frens..
I was doing the Programming for PMS link between 2000IPS to the PC using RS232 Cable,Done the programming this, using Port o(RS0),Data Speed - 9600,Stop Bit - 1, Data Length -8Bit,Prity - None,I have PMS Emulator DOS based, but i am getting port error whne i am trying to connect it.. is there any other way i can check the link,am i missing anything?is there any other way i can check...
Thanks...

The PMS emulator has to run from DOS or a DOS window or you will get a port error. Are you using the correct cable RVS-4S CA-A cable? Also a lot of PMS systems, require the Parity to be set to Even and not None.

Thanks Smoom...
I am using the same cable but i am using converter into USB cable and connected to USB port of PC, and i changed it to Even Parity, but still the same, it looks there is no connection between each other,if i remove the cable also gives the same error which we get even when we conncet...
so am i missing something...?

Soaressteevan...

You are missing the fact that there was no such thing as USB when DOS was around. You can't use a USB converter with a pure DOS based programme. Get a computer with an RS232 port and the appropriate lead and then boot the machine in Dos, Not a DOS window. Then you may stand a chance!
