pmdesign.exe has generated errors

hi,
i have installed informatica client in my system.server is in U.S.
it was working well, but since yesterday giving the following error and designer closes.

failed to update the system registry.
please try using REGEDIT.


pmdesign.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. you will need
to restart the program.
an error log is being created.

Did you install any new software in your machine? Especially if it is related to ODBC and if a wrong driver is installed which replaces the one used by designer to connect to repository, then the designer will crash. Please denote at which stage the designer generates this error.

Try to find the cause of the error by reading the log generated by Dr. Watson

Hi any solution to this? I tried to uninstall and reinstall the client but it still give the same error massage. Does that mean I need to reload my system?

I needed administrative previliges to login, after all the rights were given it worked for me.
