I think I have an easy question. LD 22 ISS comes back with:

Version 3321
Rel 4
Issue 50 W +

Can someone tell me what I have, other than an Option 81? Is it also referred to as a CS1000??? Also, where can I find online EOL, updates/upgrades for it

I believe you only call it a CS1000 if you have a sig-server...from Ld 22 do a Req PRT Type CEQU; it will list your loops, pri's and other common stuff.
Based on the release, I *think* you're already beyond EOL - but like me, if it's working for you and there is no ROI or business justification to upgrade; you still have the capability of dropping an Avaya Aura platform on top for the new wiz-bang ip/voip stuff and keeping the older switch behind for the 5 nines reliability and analog capability. It will take some forethought and proper planning, but it's an option. You could call whatever Avaya partner/vendor you might have used in the past and ask them about upgrades; but you'd better be sitting down when you get the answer.
Good Luck

Thank you 30n30w. I'm not sure what I'm looking for after LD 22 PRT>CEQU, but I don't see anything that references a sig-server. Then again I could be looking right at it and not realize. If no sig-server then it's just an Option 81, not 81C?

I probably should try to clarified my question. Yes, I believe we are beyond EOL but what I'm really looking for is where can I find bulletins/information on patches and upgrades to ensure our switch/IPE cards is "up-to-date". We are not quite ready for the IP/VoIP stuff on this system yet, but it's coming soon.

You have a CS1000M MG with CPP processor, unless you have a SigServ then it's a CS1000E - if memory serve me correctly...

Sorry - didn't mean to confuse....you probably have an 81c if you have a large system (multi-group - usually many columns/cabinets) without a signaling server. The signaling server is primarily for VOIP - which it sounds like you don't have. Most systems with the sig-serv are referred to as CS1000 instead of XXc.
If in your cequ printout, you have SUPL and PRI numbers go above 31 then you have an 81c; in a 61c your SUPL/PRI numbers would be below 31...
Clear as mud?

It's probably me not remembering correctly, but I was under the impression that the CS1000 desi kicked in when it became an IP based switch via upgrades, but the older switches were still 61c, 81c etc....sorry if I've caused further confusion. I'll shut up now :)

I appreciate both of your responses, 30n30w & yyrkroon. If someone else can confirm either answer it would be greatly appreciated!

You have an Option 81c Pentium 2 (CPP) system
