New AutoCad user (2000i) having trouble plotting a drawing in black only. I've chosen the monochrome style but I get different shades of grey on the printout where the colors are. The only thing that actually comes out black is the test. Any help greatly appreciated!!!!

Hi...in plot preview it looks exactly like it prints...different shades of grey.

Take a look at your plotstyle table through the PlotStyle Manager. Make sure every pen color is black for the style you use. The preview should reflect how it will print. When it looks good in preview, it should print okay.

I had a similar problem plotting on my HP laser, and always had to use the Post Script driver to get it to print black instead of grey, which happened when I used the PCL driver for the same printer, even though my pens were all set to black.

Bluenoser337/dunkinmoon,

In addition to borgunit's suggestion, also in your plotstyle manager, check that dithering, and grayscale are set to off, and screening is set to 100%
