Plotting in B&W 1

I am an Autocad LT2000 user. Sometimes when I plot in paper space black drawings come out in colour. There does appear to be some tie up with veiw ports as one or more of the view ports is in colour and the rest black, but I can't quite bottom it. Please help.

Hi electromott,

Check your ctb/stb file pen settings, this is more than likely the culprit.

Check the Plot Style Table is set to monochrome.ctb. The Acad.ctb will do color.

I have discovered it's something to do with "make layer plottable or non-plottable". In the drawings I am working with, which were done by an outside cad bureau,they have come back with the veiwport non-plottable. If I turn the veiwport on and make it plottable and then and turn it back off and freeze it, then save, stay with me on this one, sometimes it will plot b&w, but not always which baffles me.

The monochrome.ctb appears to have no effect on colour plotting or b&w.

I assume there is a proper sequence to follow (turning things on/off and saving), but I'm damned if I can sort it.

Any input would be very gratefully received.

Under "Tools" -> "Options" -> "Plotting" Tab
On the right side it show 'Default plot style behavior'

Is "Use color dependant plot styles"
or "Use named plot styles"
Selected?

In the plot style table you are usings... Are all colors set to print in black, or grey?

In the Plot dialog box... "Plot Settings" Tab
In the lower right corner under "Plot options"
Is "Plot with plot styles" selected?
