HI INEED PLEX VIEW DATA BASE
HOW CAN GET IT ??
THIS IS FREE OR LEGAL BUY ?

THANKS

The Plex code database is for internal use Aastra only. Historically most Ericsson local companies had copies of the database but this led to a large number of unauthorized and poor quality customer/market patch adaptations which placed a disproportionate burden on the main support organization. Progressively the access to the source code was withdrawn and the last few companies with access to the code were required to pay a fee for the privilege. Use of this was restricted to fault fixes only and not for adaptations. This particularly led to management at those companies paying for code access to question the logic behind paying for the 'privilege' of fixing Aastra's bugs for them.

Incidentally even when the source code was available to those outside Aastra, there was always one program unit not available and that was LISH [smile]

HI
I NO NEED LISH !!!!(CAHNGE OR ETC.)[tongue]
I NEED FOR PATCH FOR UNIT PROG
CAN BE BUY LIMIT VERSION OR ETC?
ALWAYS REMEMBER HIMDP door will not stay closed forever

No limited version available. The only thing you can get is the signal descriptions which can be read using Plexview. Good luck with opening the door, you might find this one more secure than the latest version of Alex.

ok
thank you for your reply
how can insert signal in plex view like that :

It seems to me that this is a BC9 system, so very old. You need to make sure that you have all the latest fixes installed.

Fixing software faults using patches is not an end user function. The location of a software fault is indicated by signals in the HI log but usually signal tracing is required to locate the exact cause. The software error is then corrected by design engineers with a patch which is then, lab tested, beta tested and released.

The system from which your HIMDP came is old and is no longer actively supported by Aastra.

If you are not seeing a problem with the functioning of the system then you can only ignore those faulty signals because there will be no new fixes produced.

HI
OK AFTER YOUR EXPLAIN ABOUT THIS SYSTEM ONLY WAY CHANGE INL WITH BC 9.1 (NO BUY LIC FOR TSW)!
ABOUT THAT DOC IN MICROSFT DRIVE I READ ALL
BUT I HAVE A QUESTION HOW CAN WRITE PATCH AND TRAINING???
I VERY LOVE DO THAT /............

00>0 !

Why do you need to patch the software, is it to fix problems or implement new functions?
To write patches, you must be familiar with Motorola 68xxx assembly language. Not too difficult.
However, you also need the PLEX database (including the patch data) for each MD110 release you want to write patches for but this is restricted to Aastra internal use only.
Ideally you should also have training but this too is for Aastra internal use only.
Patching MD110 is a skill which I believe is in very low demand. (Nobody has asked me to do any for a long time) so you might better spend your time learning a more useful skill like website coding or C# etc.

Bottom line is, I believe that you will find it impossible (should not really use that word I know) to gain the right tools and knowledge to patch MD110.

hi
no more md110
tsw is have more request
see in one system on dts phone some number have different ring on dts phone i question about that he say i write the patch
i know motorolla vhf & uhf and i am electronic engineer have know with prom& ic programer and bin lang
but if this is forbiden just aastra internal use only i cant do any more because i dont have database .
many thanks
