Please!!! Your advice needed!

Hi Guys!

I have just bought a new laptop from Gateway and already puzzled if I have made the right decission as lots of people started criticising me for this. This brand is not really popular in UK but apart from this I have not noticed anything bad about it, so far it is working well. I went to Google search to check for the remarks and found lots of criticism as well but together with the bad remarks about HP, sony, Acers, and IBM... Is this "so many people- so many opinions"? or is it really so bad? Can someone say me anything GOOD about this brand?
PLEASE!!! Advise because I only have 8 days to return it back!

All of the major retailers (HP, Dell, Gateway, Acer, etc) have complaints that you can easily find all over the net. What you'll find when you look deeper is that a lot of those complaints come from users who didn't take the time to fix a problem they had, or were new to PC's and didn't know where to look or get help.

So in other words, many of the complaints you find could apply to any brand since they are unresearched, general problems in Windows and not with the hardware itself. So don't worry! If you're happy, there's no reason to change based only on speculation.

personally i used to sell an awful lot of gateway products and the general consensus was that we expected them to come back faulty, add to that, i beleive UK support for Gateway to be all but none-existant nowadays???

also, i have numerous remaining gateways as client PC's in some of my smaller branches and this years aim was to eliminate all gateway products from usage

but... if youre happy!!!!!

i'm sure you'd get a better deal elsewhere, but then all brands have there problems. Be Lucky!!!
