Crystal 8.5 developer. One workstation only. Every single time the user tries to open crystal reports, they get the window "Please wait while windows configures Crystal Reports". It is as if windows does not recognize that crystal has been installed already.

After going through this process the user can execute, modify and design new reports, but when they exit crystal and come back into it, the same message is displayed.

We have uninstalled and re-installed crystal a couple of times in an attempt to resolve this, to no avail. I suspect a registry setting is wrong, but I have no idea which one.

Any ideas out there?

hi
Make sure you used the software to remove crystal report from the machine.
Not windows add and remove application

OK, how do you do that? There is nothing in the program group to remove the report.

The last post should read "To remove the application".

My only choice is to use windows add/remove programs.

hi
you need the sofware cd cr 8.5 to do that
thats the only way to remove previous cr of the machine

fsreport

if there any problem
re install cr in a diffrent location instead of the default
