Please, need a hero for property serverfilterbyform

I need to have the possibility to select by form, after my db has been split (with standard procedure) between local server and clients. Now it's impossible to select by form though informations in tables are visible by the forms (therefore perfectly linked). I've read Access guide, it speaks of a property Serverfilterbyform, but I don't know under which event I should insert the script to activate it, I can't either find the button on the menubar that should activate this "filter by form" on server, and finally I can't find this property in the mask property window (help says I should!!).
