Please mount any media....Help

I found the help you gave another user regarding the following error message...."Please mount any media. (Note. media pool can not be used for a non-media pool custom job)"

I followed your instructions to disable the tape drive to prevent Windows controlling the device and this worked.

The problem I now have is that I need to repeat this process every day and restart the computer for backup to work. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It is a TANDBERG SLR5 4/8GB SCSI sequential Device.

I've not seen any problems with this drive.
Try disabling the Removable Storage Service.
If that does not work, what version of Windows is it?
