I just put my Definity ECS on and I have digital and analog cards in it. I can't add a station. The command add seems not be recognise. I can't also add new circuit packs.
Please help.
Yes I am using a the craft username and password. But It all happened when the system was started without the Flash Card and later the Flash card was inserted and translation was saved. Could this have affected it??
If you turned off the system, removed the flash card and powered it back on, you in effect powered up with the basic system with no translations in it, and the passwords went back to default as from factory...
If then you saved translations to the flash card, you may have wiped out the existing translations on the flash card!
Hope that you didn't do that, because you will have to program everything from scratch.
I have the Same question. I Defaulted a system that we were using to bench test sets with.
I cant add or change anything those commands dont exist anylonger.
this is not a production unit so I have been messing around quite a bit and that was the one thing I shouldnt have done..... format translation ... who new it would wipe out everything
any Ideas short of Calling AVAYA to get ADD and CHANGE commands back?
When you saved the default translations to the flash card, you wiped the switch completely. It will have to have the offer options and switch version reconfigured via the INIT login, unless you have a spare flashcard with the former translations on it. What version is it?? If it is 9.5 or less you can load a copy from another switch of the same software load and capacity and start over. It would then be a copy of the replacement switch's translations.
100 points from bondzie and vid151!!!
so is there a Default or a Baseset that I can load? and if so how.... I just need to be able to add a 4wire digital card and program 2 extentions so that I can test phones.
V6 I can work with. Email me (dknopp at swbell(dot)net) and we will see what we can do. I am going to a drill ship in the Gulf for a few days, I may, or may not, have email access, so bear with me.
