Please Help !

I run (start) sms Network discovery and when I close it , it will be stopped again . and when I start it again this massage appeare "The operation requested is invalid" but when I start it twice . it will be strated . but acually it is stopped .
so what does it mean.

To help you further, we need more information regarding how you have configured Network Discovery.

I would suggest for you to enable Heartbeat Discovery. This would update SMS every time a computer is turned on (This is what is shown in the Active Column of many of your SMS collections).

I've had problems with network discovery in the past. It seems to help to make the start time like 5 minutes in the future. This way, after you click OK, SMS has 5 minutes to realize that there is a scheduled network discovery to run.

This happened to me in SMS 2.0. Haven't used Network Discovery in SMS 2003....
