When I connect MS SQL Server 7.0 in PB 6, directly from client application through ODBC I get the error message "Program type out of range". And when I connect SQL Server through default "MSS MS SQL Server 6.x" drivers using connection profile shown in examples of database connectivity, it shows incorrect records and reports. Please help.
Thanx.

Can you please elaborate little more ?

Have you tried through PB6 profile ?

i work on PowerBuilder version 6.0 with backend as sql server 7.0
i connect pb6 with backend through "odbc" interface.
when i generate exe and run it on client (sql server rests on remote server), it gives the error message 'program type out of range'. and does not interact with the backend.
and also when i genereate exe the same problem arises.
and also when this is run on the diffenrent machines with same OS i.e. MS Windows 98, it works on well on some machines and give the above error on some machines. I can't get what could be the reason. may be drivers problem may be dlls or ini's problem or may be registry entries problem.

also recently i got the problem about data window retrieval. when i preview the crosstab or tabular datawindow through pb it retrieves. but when i run the application (in pb) it does't work. this happens to the datawindows which were running fine previously but if even any minor change in the sql of datawindow is made then this problem arrises.

what could be the reason?
is there any problem with OS?
Please help

thankx for reply
best regards
