Hi,

I want to connect via ODBC to an Oracle Database.
I know the username, password, server name etc.
I want to import oracle tables into access.
Can someone plaese go through the correct procedure for me to do this? Do i need to do something with Net 8 Assistant?

Regards,

Joe

Joe,

I have found that the easiest way to get the Oracle ODBC drivers set up correctly on the client is to install the Oracle client on the machine you want to connect from. The Net8 Connection Wizard will take you through the steps you need.

Once you've got the ODBC driver set up, you just open Access and create a new table via a link. You can then create a copy of the linked table in your Access database using a make table query.

Hope this helps.

John
