Hi Friends, I am new to this forum and also new to exchange server. Recently i installed exchange server 2010 and configured it and after that i am able to send and receive e-mails locally but when i am sending e-mail out side e-mail is bouncing back with the error "please ask you ISP for SMTP Relay this IP cannot send e-mails" please help.

I configure send and receive connectors in hub transport because i am not using edge server. i registered my domain name with godaddy.com and i configured there MX and A record. I am using home dsl connection. Please help me

I am learning exchange server and to the last week i am just stuck here please help.

* 1 Load the Exchange Management Console from the "Start" menu.

* 2 Click on the "Organization Configuration" heading and then click the "Hub Transport" heading. If you are using the "Edge Transport" server role, click the "Edge Transport" heading.

* 3 Click on the "Send Connectors" heading and then click on the "New Send Connector" button. Enter a meaningful name for the connector and click "Next."

* 4 Select the usage type for the connector and then click on the "Next" button. The choices are "Custom," "Internal," "Internet" and "Partner." The most common type is "Internet," which is used to route outgoing emails to their relevant destinations.

* 5 Click on the "Add" button on the address space page to create a new address space.

* 6 Enter "*" in the address field to ensure the connector routes mail for all destinations apart from its own.

* 7 Click on "OK" to save the address space entry and then click the "Next" button.

* 8 Choose the "Use domain name system (DNS) 'MX' records to route mail automatically" option on the network settings page unless you are using smart hosts. If you are using smart hosts, choose the "Route mail through the following smart hosts" option and enter the DNS names or IP addresses of the smart hosts.

* 9 Leave the "Source server" settings page as the default and click the "Next" button unless you want additional servers to use the SMTP connector.

* 10 Click the "New" button to create the send connector, then click the "Finish" button on the completion page.

Also, make sure your DSL address isn't considered dynamic, or receiving mail systems may not accept mail from you. Do a check of your public IP address in the RBL test at mxtoolbox.com.

You'll also need to create a new receive connector, setting the authentication to TLS, and the permissiongroups to anonymous.

Stop by the new Tek-Tips group at LinkedIn. Come say hi, look for a job, have some fun.

Try adding using your isp's smtp server as a smart host. You may also Need to supply a un and pass to authenticate.
