I have tow servers and want to secure mail boxes as front end and back end in 2003 so what roles should I install in each server .

Please can you be more specific about what you are trying to achieve?

Thanks Zelandakh!
to be more specific, we are a big company and have about 10,000 users who connect to our exchange, I had the one fornt-end to hadle the request and one back-end server to save the mail boxes using Exchange 2003 now I want to do the same but using 2007.
I did the Edge Transport as a Front-end and CAS,MailBox,Hub as Back-end but this setup didn't work.
so I am thinking about doing CAS,Hub as Front-end
and Mailbox,Hub,CAS as a backend but I don't know .

Can you define "didn't work"?

In a front end/back end scenario, non MAPI clients connect to the front end. In 2007, that would be the CAS role. The Edge role is for SMTP traffic, not client access. The Edge goes in your perimeter network.
