I just found a nifty toy. When you go to run and type cmd for a command prompt, there are switches you can put at the end to change what you're pulling up, such as what color the dos prompt and letters are. cmd /t:a8 and hit enter will give you a nice Chrismas dos box. I thought about putting this out in the w2k pro forum, but figured, what the heck, let the admins of the networks show off there majic. Abbreviations for the letters are
0 = black
1=blue
2=green
3=aqua
4=red
5=purple
6=yellow
7=white
8=gray
9=light blue
Colors for the background are
a=light green
b=light aqua
c=light red
d=light purple
e=light yellow
f=bright white
You can also type cmd /f
n. When you hit ctrl d, you'll scroll through a list of folders, and ctrl f to scroll through a list of files. Just keep hitting the ctrl d and it will keep scrolling. To find out more, type cmd /?
Enjoy.
