Playing Recording when Office Closed due to Inclement Weather

Our client, who is currently using two BCM 400's, has asked us to set up a recording that could be played if the office is forced to close down due to inclement weather.

I can get the recording made but my only question is the following.

We currently have 15 skills that are accepting calls on the two BCM's. In order to change the 'closed message' to the new 'closed message due to weather' I would need to go into each skill and change the 'night' state to this new greeting as well as change the overflow setting to go to this new recording once 'no agents are logged in'.

Is there an easier way to accomplish this?

I have discovered a rather simple solution for anyone else who has a similar problem.

I will be recording the new message in my greeting list and exporting it to the desktop.

Then when this message needs to be played I will simply import it into the greeting number that is currently used in the auto attendant for our standard closed message.

then when weather issue has passed I will swap out the greeting again.

Problem solved and little to no work. I will just need both recordings saved somewhere locally on the PC.

You could also import it into your Holiday Greeting and invoke that greeting which would override the normal greetings.

Bob,

If you do that then your CCR Tree will still be active... Did you want that?

Our current setup does not have the CCR tree active.

We have several skills set up as IVR's and two or three skills set up for agent call handling that the IVR skills transfer to when the appropriate number is pressed in the CCR tree.

For all skills we have the 'night' setting to send the call to auto attendant 1 (closed message). I also set the overflow to go to the same auto attendant if no agents are logged in and again this is set for all skills.

I propose that I will record a new closed message and export it to the desktop of the PC for the BCM. I will also export the existing closed message. Then I will simply import the message we need into 'greeting 1' which is what the auto attendant is currently playing when we are closed.

Is there something I'm missing?
