Hi,

Does anyone know how I can make a call from a client computer and play a .wav file over the connection?

Should I be using LAN CTE or VoIP to connect to the BCM 400 or is there some other way.

Thanks!

what are you trying to do? add a wav file to the bcm for something like hold music or a greeting?

you need an IPclient licence on the BCM, install softphone on the computer and register it to the bcm. if you play the wav file loudly, it will go throug the mic of your pc...

Thanks for your replies.

I'm writing software. I'd like the software to call a given phone number and play the .wav file. It's automated. There won't be any microphone.

The .wav won't be on the bcm, the .wav will be on the computer running the software.

I'd like to know if I should be installing Lan CTE or an IP licence or something else, in order to play media over the line.

Thanks.
