the main page for my site has an intro that lasts 3 seconds - the problem is if a user clicks back or wants to return to the page they have to sit through the intro again.

whats the best way to stop this?
i thought about making another page without the intro but most users click back and this would not stop the problem.

the entire page is done with flash

From Flash do Control > Debug Movie. In the the Debugger window select _level0 and go to _currentframe under Properties. There you can see the frame number. Does it go to the frame 153, or somewhere else?

hi - in the debug window it says

_level0 _currentframe = 1
The Flash Player is paused so that
breakpoints may be adjusted. Click
Continue to start the movie.

...when i click continue
_level0 _currentframe = 153

...thought id better post back and say kens code works fine
- i had probs with my scrappy design, and after a full rebuild the code does work.

are there any limitations of this because i do notice that
it doesnt always work?

cant see what is different from when it does work and doesnt - could it be a time issue?

it seems if i leave going back to this page for a while
[5 minutes] it does play the intro

thanks again ken - will have another look
