Platinum for Windows 4.7

I have a small PFW 4.7 problem. Running under Windows 2000 Pro, everything is fine except on reports. When the Find feature is used with a report (CTRL F), Platinum exits immediately without giving an error message. No other abnormalities exist. Regrettably, I don't have access to online support, and the customizations are so many that upgrading before the end of the year is not an option.
I have read that there are a number of patches available, maybe one applies to this problem.
