Is there any way in Illustrator 10 to place a stroke either inside or outside of the object? I want a font to have a thick stroke, but its a fairly think font and anything more than a 3-4 stroke causes the strokes to converge in some areas of the font. In Photoshop I can tell a layer outline to be placed inside, middle, or outside the layer boerder. There doesn't seem to be a layer effect like this in Illustrator and thus I figured I have to do it with stroke.

use effect>path>offset path

[flush3] ...don't take it too seriously
