So I want to give a user remote access to make phone calls through our IP406. For example, he calls the main number at our location and then places a long distance call but through the IP406. Is this possible with an IP406? If so, where do I even begin?

Thanks

Finally found what I was looking for after searching a little deeper....DISA.

Thanks

Alright so I've tried setting up DISA with no luck. In voicemail pro I entered a new touch tone in my main menu. Let's call it *8934. Then I pointed it to a transfer box and added $KEY in the specific tab. (save and make live)
I then created a shortcode on the switch:
Shortcode: *8934
Telephone Number: N
Line Group ID: 0
Feature: Dial

See anything wrong here?

Thanks

Yes a lot.

In VM Pro make a new touch tone menu with two options : $ and timeout, connect the $ with a divert action, the target is then $KEY, put a wav file in the menu with dialling tone or something and connect the timeout back to its own menu.

If a user enters the initial menu he/she can dial the number for the second menu and will hear dial tone ( or whatever wav file you setup ) and then he/she can dial any number as if he/she has a phone in the office.
Any internal number or external number can be dialled ( the accesscode for external lines must be entered also ).
If you only want it for external numers then the transfer target can be set to 9$KEY or 0$KEY depending on the accesscode in IPO.
