Hello all,

i'm in a slight predicament at the moment regarding the placment of a PIX501 i just aquired. i've tried getting the info from gerneral searches online but to no avail is it making any sence to me...
So i basically want to set up the pix in my apartment, all i have is a Modem and Linksys Router.
what i can't get my head around is where to put it?, i've read people say before the router, behind the Moden etc..
what does this actually mean if i were to see it?
i plan on turning the wireless router into an AP just for wireless and the pix ans the router.
am i right in thinking, Modem>PIX>Router(AP)?

Thank you!

looks fine to me. what kind of connection do you have, cable or DSL??

I hate all Uppercase... I don't want my groups to seem angry at me all the time! =)

Cable

one other thing, i noticed that cisco documentation states you need a crossover cable from modem to 0port on PIX, this wasn't that case when i just had the Router, it used a straight through cable. but then again the PIX isn't a linksys router...

Thanks.
