Can someone PLEASE! post a sample config where the outside address is from DHCP and the inside static.
We want several PC's to get out with NAT or PAT. I can't seem to get the right NAT and Global commands.
PIX-506

You mean that you have outside dynamic ip and static ip adresses on your client!?

if yes do this. Finish it off with a clear xlate

Global (outside) 1 interface
nat (inside) 1 192.168.0.0 255.255.255.0

The outside is Dynamic from Verizon DSL. The inside I set static and I also have the PIX giving DHCP to inside clients.
Can you post a sample config?
David

Then what i write would is enough. Replace the 192....with your internal network. Dont forget the clear xlate.
Bwt do a sh interface to see if its up

Here is what you are looking for on the outside interface:

ip address outside dhcp setroute
Combine this with what boy marty wrote earlier

"Global (outside) 1 interface
nat (inside) 1 192.168.0.0 255.255.255.0"

you should be set.
