Does any expert know how to re-direct the PIX Firewall log to linux system?? Please indicate. I follow the instruction on the PIX manual but nothing can log. Please advise, command shown is much helpful.

What I do in the linux is
1. vi the /etc/syslog.conf
2. add an entry local4.* /var/log/pix/pixfirewall

What I do from the PIX is
1. enter to conf t
2. execute command "logging host inside 10.0.0.1 tcp"

But nothing can be displayed from the file pixfirewall?? Please help. Thanks.

You missed something:
1. "logging trap debugging" on Pix. With this command you instruct Pix to send syslog messages.
2. Restart syslog daemon on linux with kill -1 "pid of the syslog daemon".
