I've a pair of PIX 515E firewalls in a failover configuration. Both currently fitted with 64MB of RAM as a pair of 32MB DIMMS.

In order to run version 7 of the PIX software, we need to upgrade these machines to 128MB of RAM.

Can I fit 128MB as one DIMM, or do I need to install two pairs? Do these have to be standard DIMMS or purchased from CISCO?

Thanks - memory ordered.

It's a bit expensive, though. But then again this has always been a major cash cow for non-generic hardware vendors. I remember how much Banyan used to charge for memory for their own servers.

I used a standard pc100 dimm stick in my pix515

i just used a 128mb stick

i believe in pix 515e's they went to so-dimms though..
