PIX 515E Line Protocol always down 1

Hi there I have a basic problem using my PIX 515E ... when I try to get a connection to ANY device the PIX always says that the "line protocol is down". What´s wrong ? I just wanted to test my configuration but I can´t get any connection. All interfaces are up but all line protocols are down.

Things to check:

What is the interface set to? 100full, 10full...make sure you match to what you are connecting to.

The IP addy of the interface- Make sure the interface has the correct IP and netmask.

The right patch cables in the right interface- this one got me one time when I moved my PIX. I accidently pluged the e0 int to private line and the e1 to public. The IPs did not match and I had protocol down.

I used the wrong Patch cables I´ve completely forgotten to checkt this..
