PIX 506 firmware

Hello,

I have a 506PIX firewall using version 5.2. Can the software be upgraded to the current level of at 7.0? What is required for me to do this upgrade?

My situation is that, our firewall is supported by another company, not here onsite. I know that we are in need of an upgrade via hardware or if possible the firmware. As I understand it, by upgrading to the latest version we should be able to monitor in going and outgoing packets, cut down on spyware, restrict FTP and all downloads to a disignated IP.

If the firmware can be upgraded, then I do not need to replace the pix.

506 won't be supported until 7.1, sorry

You can only upgrade to v6.3(4) and PDM 3.0(3) at the moment.
