Hello all:

I was wondering if I could do the following using a pivot table:

the columns in my table includes:

Analyst_name Account_name # of Days
Amanda Hortons 5
Amanda Speed 5
Eunice Kreme 4
Eunice Crown 4

How do I set up a pivot table, for each analyst, it will give me the # of days (in groups) and provide the account names for each group of days e.g.

Amanda
5 Days
Hortons
Speed

Eve
4 Days
Crown
Kreme

Thanks for helping.

Sharon,

In the PivotTable Layout,

drag Analyst into the PAGE area

drag Account_name into the ROW area

drag # of Days into the DATA area and select Sum .

:)

Hi Skip,

Thanks much.

the layout you suggested, adds all the days together. I would like each account name to appear under a day group

Right now, I am getting
Amanda
Hortons 16
Speed 5

So, for example, I have 3 hortons accounts 1 with 6 days, another with 5 days, and another with 4 days, and 1 Speed account with 5 days.

What I would like to see is:
e.g.

Amanda
6 Days
Hortons

5 Days
Hortons
Speed

4 days
Hortons

Is this possible to do with a PT?

Thanks

Drag the # of days to the ROW area BEFORE Analyst.

Count anything in the DATA area, just to have something -- you can hide this column if you want.
